Attached please find the revised Poster, Notice of Race and Entry Form for the above event.
This is a very informal fun event, championed by Mark Algra’ and is sailed alongside the False Bay Yacht Club Commodore’s Challenge, in which we will have the majority of the Western Cape Club Commodores and past FBYC Commodores competing for the “FBYC Gauntlet”.

Regretfully, this event will be restricted to the classes advertised. We would like to include multihull, but the logistics are prohibitive, although this will be considered as a combined event with FHBSC next year.

May the organizers ask you to please advertise a couple of important points:

• We need crewed rescue craft in the form of rubber ducks. The FBYC keelboats will be there in case of an emergency and the NSRI will be informed of the event, but these craft will be available to primarily save lives, not boats. If we have sufficient rubber ducks we will be able to extend the point (wind strength and sea conditions) at which racing will be abandoned.
• We need volunteers to calculate results, assist with registration and assist on the bridge. Please contact Billy (078 189 8964) or Mark (082 974 0797).
• And finally, please advertise the fact that this is a race with a heck of a lot of organization, but no entry fee – a little like the old days hey???
